Chicago Trip continued...

Leslie taking care of business at the Nashville Airport.

Jack didn't throw a fit on the plane going or coming.

We were exceedingly happy about the lack of fit throwing.

Jack and Dad did shopped a little while Mom conferenced.
Michigan Avenue is loads of fun!

Jack was such a big boy at Joe's Seafood!
It is a fancy restaurant-click the link to see -and Jack was just great.
He received many compliments from the staff and other guests.
He even ate creamed spinach and bread.
Now there's a good boy!

Chicago!

Leslie attended a conference in Chicago last week and Jack and I went along to keep her company. While Leslie conferenced, Jack and I toured Michigan Avenue and played in our hotel room. Jack slept better than we did, but all in all, it was a fun trip. The weather was nice and the ordeal of navigating two airports twice was not that bad. Praise God for a safe trip!

What We Were Doing One Year Ago!

It seems like only a few days ago, but time does have wings...
Last year about this time, we were hot and heavy into remodeling our guest room for a permanent resident-our bouncing baby boy.
We installed bead-board, chair railing, crown molding, bought all new furniture (and accepted a gracious gift of a crib from the Rehms), a new rug, and Leslie and Grammie handmade the bumper pads for the crib and the window treatment. Leslie even made a custom lamp shade to match!
It was certainly a labor of love, and we are lucky to have Jack to make the room complete. Reminisce with us whilst you watch the video below.
