Jack ponders his next move...

Typically, his next move is to give you a mouthful of breast milk on your shirt. If you're lucky, he will hit the burpcloth, but mostly, he aims for the shirt. He is a prodigious burper and passer of gas, and he's been sleeping pretty good lately. Go Jack!

Jack fights for Truth, Justice, and the American Way...

He sure looks good in the red, white, and blue!

The first of MANY t-shirts to come!

Some people have asked me if we named Jack after 'Jack Bauer' from TV's '24'. To those people, I say "Hogwash!"

However, I must admit, the onesie does look cool. And also, if you're around when Jack gets hungry...watch out! He decompensates quickly.

By the way, most of the pictures are better if you click on them to see the full-sized pic.

Whatchu talkin bout Willis?!

I swear that is what he was thinking as I read to him from the timeless classic "Green Eggs and Ham."

Oh, the faces that babies make! Rest assured, there will be many more pictures of Jack posted here for your entertainment. Actually-honestly it's mostly for my entertainment. At least, that's what Jack's mother would say...;)

Nothing is too good for Jack. I mean it.

This PLATINUM pacifier has 278 inlaid diamonds with a total weight of 3 carats. It is worth a cool $17,000.

Jack has 3 of them at home and one at each of his grandparents' homes.

Just kidding! Can you believe that? Why anyone would make anything like this is beyond me, but it's funny to look at. Bless their hearts. And Bless the heart of whatever baby gets victimized with such a heavy binky!

If It's Good Enough for Moses, It's Good Enough For Jack.

Have you ever heard of a Moses basket? Well, Jack has and he loves it. It's a baby carrier that is not too big and not too small. It is lightweight and comfy. As always, Thank You to estprints.com for these special pictures.

Oohs and aahs and big hugs...Oh my!

Previously, I've commented that babies are not just for women, that they are in fact, for men to be involved with too. (You'll have to read the next article below to see the body of my discussion.) However, in saying that babies are not just for women, I've therefore categorized them as for women in at least some part . At this point I can say that they are mostly for women, and that this whole idea is common knowledge and my comments on the topic are frivolous at best- and at least, a fun waste of your time to read. Realistically, women carry the child, deliver the child (by any means necessary! ) and do a great majority of the teaching, feeding, and nurturing that is required to rear a child. So, the following pictures are of those ladies who will do most of the rearing with Jack.

His mother, Leslie

Grandma Noah

Babies Aren't Just For The Fairer Sex.

There's something about having a firstborn boy come into the family. Now that's not to say that girls aren't special too, because they are - with their pink stuff and lace and bows and whatnot. But when the firstborn is a boy, it means you've got a buddy there, someone to go fishing with, someone to shoot the ball around with. Realistically, what it really means is that you've got someone that is stuck with your name. Whether it's Wiener or Rodriquez or Papalooski or Smith - that kid has your brand on him and that means you will carry on. And this isn't to say it's a selfish thing, all this carrying on business,...but it is a primeval thing, something that's in your gut. All the books you've ever read, all the movies you've ever seen - even Lion King for gosh sakes, has the Father teaching the son how to do stuff, how to treat people, and ultimately how to be better than he himself was. So, maybe that's what the whole thing is about-having another chance to be a better person? Pretty profound and possibly preposterous, but one facet of a discussion indeed.
These are pictures of 1/2 of the
most important people in Jack's life, the Men: Dad, Pa, Papaw, Grandpa Hunt, and finally "The Man" himself.

Jack is finally born! Details to follow...

7 lbs. and 13oz., filling out 20 1/2 inches of handsome baby boy. He cried immediately and was delivered without problems for him or his Mom. For great pictures of the event, go to www.estprints.com. The pictures are better than any you've seen lately, I promise.
I Praise God for his many blessings. They are abundant and better than I deserve.
